Elegant apartment located on the third floor of a building without elevator on Via dei Cimatori, in the heart of Downtown, close to Piazza Navona, St. Peter’s Basilica, Castel Sant’Angelo and Campo de’Fiori, famous for its open-air morning market. Via dei Cimatori is located in the Ponte district, between Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Via Giulia.
Cimatore in Italian means “trimmer” and the street it’s called like this since in 1531, Florentine refugees got
established there and many of them worked with wool.
As a matter of fact, the neighborhood became a point of reference for Florentines in Rome, who gathered
around the San Giovanni dei Fiorentini church, close to Via dei Cimatori. Nowadays, this street enjoys a beautiful view over the dome of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini.
At the building no. 16, apparently, lived the famous artist Raffaello Sanzio. Finished off with high quality materials and furnished with a style which blends classic and modern elements, the apartment is developed on three levels: the lower one is comprised of a large living room (equipped with a sofa bed and an armchair bed) with dining area, a single bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a toilet; on the upper level there is a comfortable double bedroom with fireplace and walk-in wardrobe, a bathroom with bath-tub and hydro-massage shower, and a delightful little balcony which offers a beautiful view over the city’s roofs; the top level, reachable through a flight of stairs, is composed by a single bedroom (equipped with a French bed) overlooking the Church of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini and a lavatory located on a small inner terrace. Amenities, which include air conditioning, wi-fi, LCD TV, safe, washing machine and dish-washer, and the exclusive and well-connected location, which allows the visit on foot of the main city’s landmarks, make it an excellent solution for those who wish to spend an enchanting holiday in the Capital City.
